The MOBO-featured, award-winning artist has always felt a deep, personal connection to music that speaks to the heart. This bond shaped her teenage years, fuelling her love for music and passion for singing—passions that continue to thrive today.

Though she had sung with various music groups, it wasn’t until 2014 that she fully embraced the call to the music industry, releasing her debut album, Rest, followed by a sold-out album launch later that same year. Her music blends an eclectic mix of neo-soul, jazz, RnB, and traditional gospel, with heartfelt lyrics that resonate deeply with listeners.

Since then, DESOLA has steadily risen to prominence in the UK music scene, earning multiple nominations and awards. Among her accolades are the Gospel Touch Music Awards (GTMA) “Critic’s Choice Winner” in 2016, GTMA “People’s Choice Award” Winner in 2018, and Best Gospel Artist at the BEFFTA Awards in 2019. She has also received several nominations, including African Music and Media Awards “Discovery Artist of Excellence” in 2018. In 2019, she was nominated for Best Gospel Artist in the Diaspora, Best Album (Intimacy), and Best Supplication/Worship Song in Kenya, Africa. In 2024, she was named UK Female Artist of the Year at the WWGMA.

DESOLA has headlined major events, including the London African Music Festival, Vortex Jazz Club, and has shared the stage with artists like Annastasia Baker and Erica Campbell of Mary Mary, performing at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London. A regular performer at the London African Music Festival, she has also graced prominent venues such as Hootenanny, Brixton, London.

In 2018, DESOLA released her second album, Intimacy, which earned her two additional awards and secured regular spots on TBN UK and several radio stations. Her successes include two top-three tracks on the UK Christian Chart. With three singles already released from her upcoming album, set for release in April 2025, DESOLA has been receiving widespread praise from radio and TV outlets.

On March 8th, 2025, DESOLA celebrated a major milestone – her 10th anniversary – at a SOLD OUT concert at the Dugdale Art Centre in London, England. The anniversary event showcased some of her most memorable singles, as well as introducing new tracks from her highly anticipated album, Love & Light, set to release in April 2025. This album reflects a powerful expression of God’s love, inspired by the scriptures of John 3:16 and John 1:4.
